Völkel 49581 3-12mm HSS Tap and Die Set

This Völkel tap and die set is of the highest quality, manufactured from HSS and covers the most popular metric thread sizes M3-M12. The actual sizes this kit covers are: 3mm x 0.5, 4mm x 0.7, 5mm x 0.8, 6mm x 1, 8mm x 1.25, 10mm x 1.5 and 12mm x 1.75. These are metric thread sizes (standard). This set is suitable for right-handed users. This Völkel tap set includes a HSS tap set with 3 pieces and 1 circular die per size listed above. Also included are the required adjustable tap wrench and die to operate the taps and dies in the set by hand. In addition, a ratchet wrench (for use with 3mm to 10mm taps), as well as a handy metric pitch gauge and screwdriver is included. The 3-piece tap set is made of high-quality high-speed steel (HSS) according to DIN 352 and the threads have been precision ground. Each set of 3 taps consists of 1 x taper tap (also known as "first" thread), 1 x second tap (also known as "intermediate" thread) and 1 x push valve (also known as "underground" or "third" thread). These din taps are full shape, which means they cut full threads. The HSS circular shapes are manufactured according to DIN 223 and are solid. The die molds have an outer diameter of 25 x 9 mm. The adjustable tap wrench fits all taps in the set. It has steel handles and a die-cast zinc body. Die is 25mm x 9mm and will fit all stencils included in the set. The body is made of die-cast tin. Supplied in a sturdy metal case with hinged lid. Additionally, the metal case comes in an outer Völkel carton for added protection.
