Light rays which are reflected become polarized. This JJC professional ultra slim multi-coated Polarizing filter is used to select which light rays enter your camera lens. It eliminates ultraviolet rays from outdoor shots and polarizes light to reduce unwanted reflections and glare from water, snow, glass, windows, and other non-metallic surfaces. It also saturates colors, providing better contrast. The effect can be seen through the camera's viewfinder and adjusted by rotating the front ring. The filter factor varies based on rotation and orientation to the sun, with the strongest effect at a 90-degree angle from the sun. It is an ideal tool for outdoor and landscape photography.

User Notes:
* Avoid over-tightening the filter to the lens to prevent difficulty in removal.
* To remove, unscrew the inner ribbed ring counter-clockwise. A rubber band or filter wrench can assist if needed.
* A CPL filter acts as a weaker neutral density filter, reducing camera exposure by approximately 1 1/3 f-stops.
